Abstract

Ohmiya campus at Ryukoku University, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto. The foundation of the University goes back to 1639 as a Buddhist academy of the Nishi Honganji (The Jyodo Shinto sect of Buddhism). The Ohmiya campus buildings were completed in 1879, and are designated as Important Cultural Property.
