Abstract

Myoko kogen (Myoko plateau) is one of the best skiing areas in Japan with many ski resorts. This image shows the plateau in winter, seen from the Shin-etsu train line. The area is part of Japan's yukiguni (Snow country) which experiences snows several meters deep in winter.
