Abstract
Myoko kogen (Myoko plateau) is one of the best skiing areas in Japan with many ski resorts. This image shows the eaves of an old icicle-clad traditional mud-brick, wood and thatched roof house in deep snow in winter. The area is part of Japan's yukiguni (Snow country) which experiences snows several meters deep in winter.
