Abstract

Traditional Hawaiian stone-walled food garden beds, growing taro (a starchy root vegetable, staple of the traditional Hawaiian diet), ginger, bananas, paw-paw, ti (cordyline), used for wrapping food parcels for cooking in the traditional earth oven, and other food crops.
