Abstract

International Market Place, Kalakaua Ave.,Waikiki. Running for more than 50 years, the market place, with its featured huge old Banyan tree, wass an icon of Waikiki tourism. In 2010 the land owners changed and there was a question mark over the future of the old-style market place, with proposals to develop it into a mall. As of November 2011, the plan was for a 3-storey open air market place.
