Abstract
Aerial view of subdivision of Aina Haina, south-eastern corner of Oahu. This image reveals how far development has proceded "snaking" along the ridges of the Koolau volcano which rose from the sea approx. 2.7 million years ago, forming the eastern side of the island of Oahu and now has an elevation of 2000ft. Note almost every house has a swimming pool.
