Abstract
St. Philomena Catholic church at Kalawao on the north shore of Molokai, just east of Kalaupapa, is the church where the Belgian missionary priest Father Damien de Veuster served and is buried. Father Damien moved to Molokai in 1873 to assist and care for leprosy patients exiled to Kalaupapa peninsula. This image shows the main altar inside the church.
