Abstract
The island of Hawaii (the "Big Island") is the location of the currently active volcanoes, Mauna Loa and Kilauea. This image shows an old lava flow encroaching onto a bitumen road within part of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Puna district. The road has been blocked off in the left of the image.
