Abstract

Brisbane Hospital, George Street in 1865. Moreton Bay hospital opened on George Street on the 12th of January in 1849, and was renamed the Brisbane Hospital in 1856. A new Brisbane hospital was opened at Herston and patients were transferred there in 1867.
