Abstract

St Patrick’s Tavern was one of the earliest in Brisbane, being first mentioned in 1847 in the Moreton Bay Courier following a sitting of the Licensing Court. Earlier records from 1843-1846 haven’t survived. The Tavern was said to be on the site in Queen Street, between Albert and Edward Streets. Almost opposite the Australian Hotel.
