Queensland Institute of Technology Brisbane: 1965 -1988 Engineering Graduates Association '20 Years On' - Reunion Dinner - 3 September 1988 - Inaugural Engineering Graduation 1968

The Faculty of Engineering at the Queensland Institute of Technology had its origins in the Central Technical College before the formation of the Institute in 1965. The first group of students to be awarded a Bachelor of Engineering from the QIT graduated in 1968. Its professional courses were originally based on the diplomas of the University of Queensland which were transferred to the Queensland Education Department. It presently comprises the Schools of Civil, Electrical and Electronic Systems, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and the Department of Surveying.
