Abstract

Moorlands is a heritage listed building situated on Coronation Drive, Auchenflower, a suburb of Brisbane, Queensland. It was designed by Richard Gailey and was built in 1892. It was first constructed for the Mayne family of Brisbane, Patrick Mayne who was a butcher, his wife Mary and four children who lived there up until 1940 when it was bequeathed to the University of Queensland.

The Uniting Church bought the property in 1971 and following a renovation was converted into office accommodation for the Blue Nursing Service. Today, this landmark is the head office of the Uniting Church’s division of Age Care and Domiciliary.
