Abstract

This photograph shows the exterior of the Bank of Australasia, Kingaroy, Queensland. Jack Bain worked for the Bank of Australasia and worked in many branches over his career from the 1920s to his retirement in 1966.

Kingaroy is a rural town and locality in the South Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia, approximately 210 kms north-west of Brisbane. The town is situated on the junction of the D'Aguilar and the Bunya Highways. It is known as the "Peanut Capital of Australia".

Built in 1913 and currently a solicitors' office.
