Jack Evans built the Snapper Rocks Sea Baths in 1956. Jack Evans was a former cane cutter, lifesaver, shopkeeper, fisherman, honorary beach inspector, shark catcher, porpoise trainer, swimming instructor, fundraiser and aquarium owner
