Abstract

Edward Street is very prominent running through the centre of the photograph, at the foot of which is the Botanical Gardens, and the Naval Stores on Kangaroo Point side of the Brisbane River. The River is easily discernable running towards the left, a portion of Central Station is seen in the bottom left hand corner, while on the right of the picture is the new City Hall; which is now under construction. Moving in towards the centre the State Government Insurance Building is visible, on the top of which is situated the 4 Q G Wireless Station. Then comes the T. & G. Building, Perry House, and Ascot Chambers on the corner of Queen Street. The streets running parallel across Edward Street, are Ann, Adelaide, Queen, Elizabeth, Charlotte Mary, Margaret and Alice Streets. Turbot Street is visible running across the right hand bottom corner.
