Abstract

Located at the corner of Doonella and Lake Streets, the two storey hotel was built by Dan Martin 1890. It originally comprised four rooms and was later extended to twenty guest rooms upstairs and dining and bar facilities on the first level. The hotel was destroyed by fire in 1940. In 1954 John Donovan (former proprietor of the Royal Mail Hotel) relocated his house from Poinciana Avenue to the site. (https://heritage.noosa.qld.gov.au/nodes/view/4183)
