QUT Film Screen & Animation

QUT Film Screen & Animation

The students of Film, Screen and Animation at QUT have often created productions that push the boundaries of style, genre and technical and narrative excellence. Whether it’s dramas, animations, comedies or documentaries, the works of QUT graduates – many who have gone on to become leaders in the field – make a big impact.

The QUT Film Screen & Animation digital collection acknowledges that our students have contributed to the diverse social and cultural history of the state.

From the collection, we find the early works of many established Australian screen talents, including six-time finalist at Tropfest Michael Noonan AACTA award winner Lucy Gaffy, in-demand director Tom Noakes and Los Angeles based TV showrunner Aaron Catling.

QUT has and continues to be a provider of quality training ground of production staff and crews, which boosts the state’s capacity to attract global productions. We hope to preserve the works of previous and current students here and continue to help young people enter and make the most of opportunities within the ever-growing screen industries here and abroad.
